Hawks baseball fights it out against the Summit Bears

On Thursday, April 18, the Hawks baseball team faced off against Summit Charter Bears and defeated them 7-5. Cooper “Coop” Fish had a good game pitching, but the defense caused many unforced errors that led to the Bears five unearned runs. Nevertheless, the Hawks rallied back from a 5-3 deficit on the top of the fourth with Fish’s two out triple which cleared the bases. The Hawks gained an insurance run after Fish advanced from third to home from a passed ball. Luke Sousa, with his mysterious fastballs, came in to close out the game. The Hawks will have the opportunity to continue to their winning ways in their next game at Farmersville.
