Softball and Baseball teams head to semifinals

Yesterday our girls softball team played the Woodlake Bengals in a home playoff game and beat them 13-5. Our girls continue to do well on offense making great decisions at the plate and getting good hits. Alexa Yanez pitched a complete game and had several defensive stops that came back to her. Our defense overall could of been better allowing 4 errors that led to Woodlake scoring. The girls will work hard to improve that aspect of their game to get them ready for Saturday Championship tournament. But we our proud of the girls accomplishment. Go Hawks

The Sequoia baseball team faced off against a much improved Summit Bears. The Hawks defense came up big in the first inning as Adam Daguman threw out a runner trying to score from second base and Cooper Fish picked off a runner on second base. Nevertheless, the Hawks secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. Richie Bailey demonstrated exceptional plate discipline as he walked three times while leading Sequoia Hawks to a 13-1 victory over SCCA.   Cooper Fish  had another complete game. He only allowed two hits, one run over four innings, while  striking out five.  With the victory, the Hawks advanced to the semifinals of the playoffs and will face off against the winner of Lindsey and Exeter this Saturday.
