2017 Cross-Country League Champions

The cross-country teams ran in the Whitney League Championships at Sequoia on Tuesday. The girls won their 4th straight champions on the heels of their 4th consecutive undefeated season. The Lady Hawks took 14 of the top 19 places. Joslen Jimenez came in 1st place and was this year’s league champion. Erica Munoz came in 2nd and was followed closely by Isabel Burogh in 3rd. Sophia Mendoza sprinted past an opponent at the finish line to take 4th place and Marisol Hernandez finished 6th. Mikaela Martinez came in 9th place. Beginning with 11th place, Sequoia took 7 consectuive places. Elizabeth Hernandez 11th, Elisandra Ruiz 12th, Dasha Lester 13th, Nicole Mosqueda 14th, Stephanie Sanchez 15th, Edith Hernandez 16th, Amberlyn Flores 17th, and Felicity Ellison 19th place.

The boys won its second straight White League Champions and wrappe dup an undefeated season. The Hawks were led by Kaleb Salazar who came in 2nd place. He was immediately followed by Josh Jimenez in 3rd, Kaldoon Sarwar in 4th, Daniel Rivera in 5th, and Kris Merzoian in 6th. Aiden Jackson finished in 11th, and Tony Fusco rounded out the scoring in 18th place.
