Soccer and Basketball teams remain undefeated

Girls’ Soccer
Sequoia played Pioneer yesterday. The lady hawks remain undefeated with a score of 2 -0 against Pioneer . Sequoia opened up with a goal by Alisha Verdejo with an assist from Harley Certuche. Jordyn Chavez also scored from a corner kick.

Our defense was led by Mikayla Rodriguez and Alyssa Ibara with our goalie Vanessa Leiser making some key stops to stump the mustang's offense. Our mid fielders made excellent passes to feed our forwards and our forwards knows exactly what to do with the passes. Keep up the good work. Way to play the game. Go Hawks!!!

Boys’ Basketball
The Sequoia Hawks beat the Pioneer Mustangs to improve to 3-0 on the season. The defense was led but Kaldoon Sarwar, Cooper Fish and Joseph Espinoza. Leading the scoring were Sebastian Moscorro and Cooper Fish. The Hawks fell behind early, but picked up the pressure on defense and took the lead midway through the first half. Way to go boys!

In the JV match, the Hawks beat the Mustangs 25-23 by playing good defense led by Jose Miranda, Ethan Castle, and Tyler Sousa. Sequoia’s leading scorers were Ayden Ceballos, Tyler Sousa, and Konner Collins. The Hawks are improving every game, and know they need to work hard to keep improving. Go Hawks!
