Track Team Competes at League Finals

The boys track team took 3rd place at the Whitney league meet.

  • Andrew Bouayabvong place 3rd in the hurdles.

  • The 4x400 relay team of Leo Andrade, Josh Jimenez, Andrew Bouayabvong, and Kaleb Salazar also got 3rd.

  • Gabe Bower took 4th in shot put and discus.

  • Misael Lopez ran well in the mile and 2 mile.

  • Adam Daugman won the Long jump and got second in the triple Jump.  

  • In a special coed event, the throwers relay, Jaqui Randolph, Mathew Barba, Itzel Barrios, and Nae Nae Fileds got second.

 

The girls track team had a successful season.   The Lady Hawks took second at the Whitney league meet, 3rd at the Green acres invite, and the 7th grade girls won the Tulare city schools track meet.

  • Jolsen Jimenez lead the way with 5 school records.  She was the only athlete to win 4 gold medals at the league meet and was named athlete of the meet in Tulare. 

  • NaeNae Fields excelled in the field events.  She set a school record in the discus. 

  • Itzel Barrios got 3rd in the discus at the league meet.

  • Taylor Beeman hurdled and triple jumped.

  • Sophia Mendoza got 3rd in the 2 mile.

  • Elizandra Ruiz jumped and hurdled. 


Several of our athletes earned their way to the valley meet, held in Clovis last weekend, where they competed against schools from all over the valley.

  • Joslen Jimenez, Dasha Lester, Isabel Burrorough, and Mikalea Martinez placed 7th in the valley in 4x400 relay, only 2 seconds away from the school record.

  • Joslen Jimenez placed 8th in the valley in the 2 mile.

  • Nae Nae placed 7th and 9th in the valley in discus and shot put.

  • Adam Dagamun won the Valley championship in the triple jump and got 4th in the long jump.

  • Claire Lee was valley champion in her age group in the Javelin, where she broke her own school record.
