Hawks take 2 victories over the Bobcats

On Tuesday, May 1, the Hawks defeated the Bobcats from Bartlett 20-3. At first, the Hawks trailed the Bobcats 2-0 after the first half of the innning but the Hawks bats came alive by outscoring their opponent 20 to 1 the rest of the way. Nevertheless, it was pitching by committee as Adam Daguman, Josh Post, Cooper Fish and Brysn Homsby only allowed one hit in four innings of work. Overall, Coach Chavez has seen gradual improvements from all his players but there is still areas where the team can become even better. Tomorrow, the Hawks will have a tougher test against Wilson Middle School in Exeter.

Our girls softball team played the Bartlett bobcats and beat them 12-2. Reagan Waddle pitched two innings only allowing two runs. Alysa Hernandez finished the game and struck out 5 girls. Morgan Hunter had a double with two RBI’s while Greenley Wilson and Ana Wallace hit for a triple. Sonia Castillo and Alexa Yanez all had great defensive plays at short and second. Great job girls!
